Things to do in Korea during winter + slang?! ππ
ask me anything part 2~ π
Hello Everyone~! β€οΈ
Hope you're all having a greatttt week β€οΈ It's the last week of November!! I hope you're all doing well and getting ready to spend the holidays with your loved onesπ
We wil be continuing with the AMA this week to finish the questions y'all had! Hope you enjoy and have a lovely day/night wherever you are! π

01. Can you suggest winter activities in Korea?!
Great question! I'll actually be back in Korea soon so my list is UPDATED β€οΈ
My Recommendations:
1. The Hyundai Mall
Okay this one is SUPER good if you want to escape the winter blues (because it genuinely gets so so cold in Korea). πThe Hyundai in Yeouido has a ton of cute christmas lights and trees and is perfect for getting the Christmas vibes without having to be outside! I'd really recommend the place for shopping as well for you shopping lovers & they also have a ton of random pop-ups β€οΈ *picture below
2. Hyatt Ice Skating Rink
This one is a personal favorite that I LOWKEY want to gatekeep just because I've been going there since I was a kid BUT since I want you guys to genuinely have a good trip, im putting you on!!!! βΈοΈ This place is so pretty ESPECIALLY at night and it is a little on the pricier side (50,000won around 40$) BUT it is super worth it in my opinion for a cute date or day out with friends π
3. Yongpyong Ski Resort
This one is for those of you active folks who like skiing/snowboarding! This is a great ski resort to visit and it's not too far from Seoul so it will be convenient to get to! You can book a room there and also rent gear so perfect for travelers too πββοΈ
λ²μ€ and μ§νμ² are probably the most affordable ways to get around in Seoul, most people will go to work with these two methods!
There are two major apps that you can use to see the timings/figure out what method is the fastest and that would be Kakaomap or Naver map!PSA: We do not use Google maps in Korea, it is so inaccurate!
To ride the bus or subway you will need a T-money card or a Korean bank card that doubles as a transportation card! (they're even customizable)
2. νμ π (Taxi)
As for νμ you can just hail one off of the street or you can call one! There are so many apps but the one that seems to be the most popular (especially for travelers) seems to be Kakao Taxi! This app doesnβt require you to register your card (usually has to be a Korean card) so it works for people who are traveling!
Of course Uber works here too but itβs not the same system as in the US where people use their own cars to drive you, uber taxis are the same as other taxis! But as always Kakao is the best!
03. Can you teach us a Korean Slang?
Of course! This is my favorite question~ β€οΈ
1. μ½ β€οΈ
This one is one that you can just use with friends when you're trying to make plans or someone suggests something! Think of it as the Korean equivilent for "bet" or "let's do it" if someone tells you "let's go eat hotpot" you can reply with "μ½" !!!!!
Hope that helped! Have a great week everyone :)
