2024 Trend Recap β€οΈ
We are approaching the end of another year.... Can you all believe it's almost 2025?! Since we've been through SO much this year, I thought it would be fun to do a little trend recap. This week's recap? All the trending FOOD/SNACKS in Korea this year π Hope you enjoy!
1. Malatang - huru (λ§λΌνν루)
ππ₯
Y'all you know it wouldn't be a K-trend without a shortening of words SOMEHOW. The trend of λ§λΌνν루 actually started when people decided to eat malatang then have tanghulu as a dessert afterwards. (The perfect pair ππ₯)
If you don't know, tanghulu is a snack which is fruits on a stick covered in melted sugar! And malatang is a spicy Chinese dish which is SUPER popular in Korea! The two share a common syllable but nothing else haha
There is even.... a song based on the combination.... If you're chronically online like me I'm sure you have already heard it tho hehe..
2. Dubai Chocolate
(λλ°μ΄ μ΄μ½λ¦Ώ) π«
We've already talked about Korea's obsession with this chocolate before but to REITERATE, we now have Dubai chocolate FLAVORED things like Icecream, Bread, Cake, Financier, and even Cookies πͺ
Trends in Korea come and go but for some reason... I feel like the Dubai chocolate flavored things might be around for a while.. What do you think?!
3. Sungshimdang (μ±μ¬λΉ) ππ₯
This is one that most of you PROBABLY haven't heard about because I've only really seen it in Korean media but... THIS BAKERY IS SO POPULAR THAT PEOPLE WAIT FOR HOOOUURS to try their bread
