01. Word of the Week RECAP โค๏ธ๐น
Let's go over some of your responses!
1. "๋ด ํ๊ตญ์ด๋ ๊ทธ๋ฅ ๊ด์ฐฎ์." (nae han-guk-eo neun geu-nyang gwen-chan-a)
This sentence is great because you understood perfectly what the meaning of the word is! However, I'd love to give you some feedback to make it sound more accurate (instead of translated).
So! Firstly, it seems like you wanted to say "My Korean is just okay" But it's important to realize the context of the words. The phrase that you're looking for when saying "just okay" is ๊ทธ๋ฅ ํ๋ฒํด(geu-nyang pyeong-beom-hae)! The phrase you used "๊ทธ๋ฅ ๊ด์ฐฎ์" doesn't imply "just okay" in the most natural way because ๊ด์ฐฎ์ is more towards a positive side while is ํ๋ฒํด more neutral! (It means normal/mediocre)
ALSO while it makes sense to say "My Korean" or "My English" in English, it doesn't really translate well. It sounds like it is literally your language SO I would suggest changing the phrase ๋ด ํ๊ตญ์ด๋ to "๋ด ํ๊ตญ์ด ์ค๋ ฅ์," ์ค๋ ฅ (shil-ryeok) means ability or skill!
Overall: I'd make the sentence "๋ด ํ๊ตญ์ด ์ค๋ ฅ์ ๊ทธ๋ฅ ํ๋ฒํด"
But still 10/10 because you used the word ๊ทธ๋ฅ PERFECTLY! Just some tips to make you even better~!!!! Great job and thank you so much for sharing your response โค๏ธ
2. ์ ๋ ๊ทธ๋ฅ ํ๊ต์ ์ ๊ฐ๊ณ ์ถ์ด์
(jeo-neun geu-nyang hag-gyo-e an ga-go sip-eo-yo)
This is a great example of using ๊ทธ๋ฅ because it also captures the meaning and context of the word perfectly! Imagine someone asking you "Why don't you want to go to school" you can respond with this to say "I just don't want to go to school." If you want to make it more casual, you can say "๊ทธ๋ฅ ํ๊ต ์ ๊ฐ๊ณ ์ถ์ด์!" (You can take out the ์ in this context). Hope that helps~! โค๏ธ |
