Welcome back to another weekly newsletter by TEUIDA! I'm Sherly and I'm here to make Korean learning easier & more entertaining for you all~! ❤️ This week we have a lot of requests for another K-pop lyric newsletter so I thought I'd make that happen! Of course we will end with another word of the week🗣️ but I will be going over some of your responses next week!

ALSO just wanted to update you guys about the news from last week: it turns people were getting sick from the GLUE from the packages & thankfully there weren't any deadly substances in them! False alarm but I'm still so curious what those packages were 🧐 Be careful out there everyone.

01. Maniac - Stray Kids 👬

I honestly love this song and since SO MANY of you are stays I thought I'd teach you something from their lyrics!!! ❤️Take a look:

다 터진 인형 실밥처럼Hah! 결국 본색이 드러나지편하지 않은 이 life (pyeon-ha-ji ahn-eun ee life) It ain't "Live", It's "Holding on", yeah

So we're going to be focused on this phrase in their lyrics! You might be wondering why I picked it, I will explain soon!

First let's break it down: 편하지 않은 이 life

편하지 (편해) - comfortable
않은 (않아) - not [negation]
이 life - this life

So this sentence is talking about a life that is not comfortable. The translation would roughly be: This uncomfortable life ☹️

So why did I pick this sentence?! Because I wanted to teach you about negation! Of course you guys already know negating things by saying "안 V" or "V-지 않다" the latter is of course the one used here. BUT I also wanted to teach you that in some cases you can use "불 V" as well! For example: "불편해" which also means uncomfortable!

02. Choi Yena - Hate Rodrigo 👹

This song has literally been on REPEAT & I thought there were some easy phrases to learn, let's learn two! ❤️

툭 하고 올 나간 스타킹높은 굽 말고 워커 살짝 머리핀누가 누굴 따라해 절대 아닌데 (jeol-dae ah-nin-dae)뭐라뭐라 왜 떠들어? 뭐래? 뭐래? 신경 꺼 (sing-gyeong ggeo)

절대 아닌데 - absolutely not / not at all
신경 꺼 - none of your business / mind your own business

These are really normal sentences that I'm sure all of you could use in your daily lives SO I thought it would be helpful to learn them! Use them wisely haha 😁
