Hope you're all doing amazing and that you're learning lots of Korean and Japanese :) (Happy almost September)
Let's get right into this week's issue of Teugether! βΊοΈ
What's trending in Korea
this week?! π°π·
I'm not sure if other countries have this trend going on right now but I've been seeing this ALL OVER my instagram feed and I think it's hilarious!!!
The trend is: taking pictures as if you're the celebrity in the packaging! π
Isn't it so cute?! I think it's a lot easier to do in Korea since SO MANY packages or items have a celebrity endorsement/sponsorship on them!
If you wan't to participate in this trend make sure to hit up your nearest H-mart (or equivilent Korean mart and PLS, send us the pictures!)
I think these are so funny I can't get enough of them LOL π
Korean Lyric of the week! πΆ
Circles - SEVENTEEN
λ€μ λκ³ λμ μ μλ¦¬λ‘ μ€κ² μ§
(dol-go dor-ah) π
One of you asked for a Seventeen song and this is actually one of my favorite songs!! So I wanted to teach this phrase which is actually the title of the song!!
λκ³ λμ means to turn and turn (over and over again). In this song it's talking about the hands of a clock that keep turning but end up in the same place. BUT, you can also use it the same context as "Things always coming full circle"
For example: μ νμ΄ λκ³ λμμ
(yoo-heng-ee dol-go dor-ah-yo)
Which means "Trends always go and come around" or "Trends come full circle"
One of you asked me for a recommendation that's on Netflix (because last week's wasn't :( ) So here I am back with another one that I'm currently LOVING! π
It's called Love Next Door and its the classic childhood enemies to lovers story~ (I eat these types of stories UP)
It has similar vibes to Our Beloved Summer but the story is really interesting and I loooove all the actors β€οΈ
Yes! I definitely think so & have seen a lot of people attending schools here from abroad! Some Korean universities (such as Yonsei) have an international student section where the classes are in English! β€οΈ
To my knowledge a lot of these schools have requirements to learn Korean as well but since you're here with us a TEUIDA I'm sure your Korean might already be good enough heheeh~ π
I would definitely look into Yonsei Underwood or other schools with similar programs :) I'd also recommend looking into the GKS Scholarship Program for those who want to study post-grad courses here!
