Let's get right into this week's issue of Teugether! βΊοΈ
What's the trend in Korea this week?! π°π·
If you're a regular reader of our newsletter, you already know that a good 70% of trends in Korea all revolve around FOOD ππ₯
SO this week, we're going to be talking about some new food releases (trends) !!!
1. Shine Muscat Fresh Cream Cake (Starbucks) βπ°
If y'all didn't know shine muscat is like the Dior of all fruits in Korea! It's like a green grape but much sweeter and bigger too!! Well starbucks recently released a shine muscat flavored cake and ITS SO GOOD π
Shine Muscat in Korean is μ€μΈλ¨Έμ€μΊ£(sha-in-mu-seu-ket)
2. Gongcha Watermelon Series π
It is SOOOO hot in Korea and really the only remedy to the heat is to stay inside ORRR is there another one -- Koreans loooove to drink watermelon drinks in the summer (it's also in season) & gongcha JUST released a LINE of new watermelon drinks!!! Can't wait to try~
Watermelon in Korean is μλ° (su-bak)
3. SeongShimDang Tangerine Cake π§‘
For the avid readers - do you remember when we talked about that SUPER duper popular bakery in Daejeon that people used to line up for HOURS to try??? Click here to read that issue btw! Well they released a new tangerine cake for the summer and there's no way I'm standing in that line BUT it looks SO GOOODODODOD
Tangerine in Korean is κ·€ (gul)
Korean Word of the Week πΆ
βμ¬μ"
(sa-ja)
The WHOLE world has been OBSESSED with K-pop Demon Hunters and Saja Boys right!!?? β€οΈ
Well, Teuida's own Kyle came up with such a good idea to teach you guys the different meanings of μ¬μ! (There are so many)
1. Lion (μ¬μ)
Saja literally means lion in Korean and I'm PREEETTY sure that's where they got the Saja Boys name so this one's obvious π¦
2. Let's buy it "μ¬μ"
The same word can also mean "Let's buy (it/this)" and you would use this to someone casually to μ¬ is to buy and μ is let's! πΈ
3. Dead Person/Man (μ¬μ)
Saja can also mean a dead person/dead man or someone who has passed on π―
4. Messenger (μ¬μ)
This one is a really old vocabulary that was used in historical times but Saja can also mean a messenger!! Isn't that so cool?! βοΈ
Omg I think I've scared you guys too much about MBTI
NO no one is going to judge you for having a certain MBTI BUUUTT they will probably make assumptions about you based on it (NOT NEGATIVE) π
For example, if you're a T they're going to assume you're not going to give them an emotional response to whatever their problem is OR if you're E people will assume you're the type to talk in groups (rather than listen)
These are all just general assumptions and people know that MBTI isn't really science and it's hard to put all the people into 16 categories hahah it's just for fun, i swear! β€οΈ
