Hope you're all having a wonderful wonderful week and learning lots of Korean (+ japanese + spanish) with Teuida!!!!!!
Let's get right into this week's issue of Teugether! βΊοΈ
What's the trend in Korea this week?! π°π·
This trend really took me for a spin because I had NO idea where it started or what it means so when one of you asked me to talk about this trend I had to literally do RESEARCH
But fear not because I finally understand it (kind of) So the trend is.. "Yareu" π
If you have no idea what I'm talking about please find the video linked below (and I promise if you watch it your new feed is gna be filled with them.. algorithm goes crazy)
BUT ANYWAYS... Yareu is a term used by people eating/mukbangers which is spelled μΌλ₯΄ in Korean and means something along the lines of "μ€μ" (oh yeah) OR "μμΈ" (yes!!!)
You use it when you're excited about something (in this case food) and I think I would mostly equate it to "slay" in English lol π
anyways it's trending like crazy I can't escape these videos help me π―
I hope that makes sense + I know this one is a bit advanced so let me know if you guys have any questions hehehe~~~~
Ask Me Anything! π
WOW yall really love this topic -- ok so as not to exhaust TOO many topic ideas lemme give you ONE do and ONE don't this week
Do: TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF INDOORS -- ESPECIALLY if you see that other people are and there are slippers for you to wear! While this is usually a norm in the house, there are also restaurants and cafes where this is the norm as well - PLEASE RESPECT IT!!! π
Don't: take super loud phone calls on public transportation -- while this isn't as severe as wearing your shoes inside someone's house, you'll definitely get some weird looks so AVOID IT!!! π±
okie bye lmk what else you wanna hear about loves <3
