Let's get right into this week's issue of Teugether! ☺️
What's the news in Korea this week?! 🇰🇷
this is HOT news because I just heard about this... but there are THREE shows coming out SOON (that have been super popular and sought after these days)
1. Culinary Class Wars 2 👩🍳
YALL if you haven't seen the first one I BEG of you to please please watch it. If you like survival shows or even cooking in general (or some drama) this is probably the first Korean show you should see!!
2. Transit Love 4 💔
I know you've all heard about Single's Inferno already but do you know about transit love? This is one of my favorite shows (i cry all the time watching it) because it's about couples who have broken up :( they go on the show and decide if they want to get back together or start a new relationship -- if you haven't seen it you got 3 seasons to catch up on!
3. Devil's Plan 3 👾
ANOTHER personal favorite of mine - this is the survival show for all the BRAINS in Korea. They complete challenges and quizzes and games in order to win a huge amount of money (and fame) - my favorite is the first one so if you haven't seen it make sure to before three comes out!!!
Korean Slang of the Week 🎶
“짱"
(jjang)
This is a classic slang that you guys HAVE to know because it is used in so many conversations & in so many different contexts~!
짱 basically means the 'best' or 'amazing'
Here are some ways that you can use it:
짱 재밌어 (jjang je-mit-sseo)
this means "the best" + "fun" AKA "the most fun"
얼짱 (eol-jjang)
this is a combination of 얼굴 (face) and 짱 and basically means "amazing face" which is lowkey a slang in and of itself!
"짱이다!"
this is just a way of using it in a sentence which means "that's the best!" or "that's amazing"
Honestly can't wait for you guys to use this because it's going to make you sound so native hehe ❤️ Hope that helped!!!!
Okay personally I don't think this is that spicy because I LOOOOVE spicy food but I think one of the spiciest Korean foods is probably 닭발 or 매운 족발 - can my advanced learners guess what this is???
if you guessed feet... you happen to be right!
닭발 is chicken feet and 족발 is pig feet! (pig trotters) and 매운 (mae-un) just means spicy!
I honestly have never made either of these at home BUT if you really really want to try to make it I found a recipe online for the chicken feet (my personal favorite) and you can eat it with mayo hehe which is super good
