My FAVORITE matcha recipe 😍 + a new advice column?!
❤️ Hello Everyone !!!! ❤️
Hope you're all doing well + having an amazing week so far :)
Let's get right into this week's issue of Teugether! ☺️
What's the news in Korea
this week?! 🇰🇷
Guys... the news in Korea this week is something that is very sad for me to hear...
Because one of Korea's most loved soccer players.... Lee Gang-in.... might have a girlfriend..... 😭
This is devastating for me personally because I have a huge crush on him (I'm just kidding I'm happy for him) BUT this news has been trending like crazy right now!!!! It's even crazier because the rumour is that he's dating Park Sang-hyo who is the daughter of the Doosan Group (one of the big conglomerates in Korea) Which makes her a Chaebol!!!
It's literally a drama-like story (classic chaebol son/daughter caught up in a dating rumor). While nothing has been confirmed just yet... I will be on the look out for updates 😀
Korean Slang of the week! ❤️
강추(gang-chu)
강 (short for 강력하게) : strongly
추 (short for 추천하다): recommend
This slang means "strongly recommend" so if you want to recommend somewhere to your friend you can say. I really liked that restaurant! 강추!!!
Example sentence (pointing at a restaurant) : 여기 진짜 맛있어! 강추!!!
(yo-gi jin-jja mat-iss-uh! gang-chu!)
If you use this I swear people are going to think you're a native speaker! ❤️
I asked you guys on instagram last week if you would be interested in an advice column by me... and surprisingly over 90% of you said YES!!!!
In the interest of getting to know you guys better and making this a community where you guys can really immerse yourselves and have fun... WELCOME to our advice segment!!
You can share anything whether that's related to Korean Culture/Korean learning OR even spill tea and get advice about your lives :)
Everything will remain confidential and just think of this as advice from your Teuida Unni! I'll do my best to give you all the best possible advice and be real ❤️❤️
I LOVEEEE matcha and fun fact, matcha in Korean is called 말차 (mal-cha). I personally think K-Malcha is the BEST type and I love making my own matcha lattes at home!!! 🍵
I'm a huge fan of making my own drinks + cooking (I lowkey want to be a barista I'm not going to lie) and I found this video on best best ways to make a matcha latte!!!
I use the fourth way: Matcha powder + syrup for my recipe but I think all four recipes would be great to try :D
Watch the video below to see the BEST matcha recipe (trust me) and also try to understand as much as you can in Korean BUT there are also English subtitles so no worries for the beginners ❤️
