What's trending in Korea this week?! 🇰🇷
YALL I'm not sure if this is also trending world wide but EVERYONE in Korea is super obsessed with the new ChatGPT feature that lets you turn your images into Ghibli style animations!!!
It's honestly one of the CUTEST things I've ever seen and I LOVE the trend (although there is some debate about copyright issues which I haven't been able to look into yet)😥
BUT if you're interested and you haven't done the trend yet... go to Chat GPT and send it a picture with the words "can you transform this into Ghibli style" and WATCH the magic happen! ❤️
Here are some cute ones made by our TEUIDA team ~~ 😊
Korean Phrase of the Week 🇰🇷
"친구먹자"
(chin-goo meok-ja)
For those of you who are already scared by what this means I promise it's not a scary phrase hahahah
Let's break it down:
친구: friend
먹자: (let's) eat
If you haven't heard of this phrase before you're probably like ...? LEt's eat our friend?!?!?!
BUT this phrase actually means "let's be friends!" you can also use it to say "We became friends" or "we decided to be friends!" by switching the phrase to
I've gotten this question ALOT so I just wanted to answer it and clear it up now!!
As some of you might know I (Sherly) am actually ethnically Indian! BUT what you might not know is that I was born and raised in Korea so I actually learned Korean before I learned English (when I was in preschool!) sooo... to answer your question I guess like 20 years???
After that I went to International School and learned English so I kind of forgot a lot of my Korean BUT since I was living here it eventually came back to me !!!
That is the back story but I just wanted to encourage you all that the BEST way to learn a language is to just really really immerse yourself in it!
I credit my language ability to throwing myself into the deep end and doing my best to learn everything I can without pressuring myself! hehe That's how I learned Korean and English! <3 I truly believe Teuida is one of the best ways to learn because you're learning practically and just really immersing yourself in conversation !!!!
I know you can all do it too!!! You got this~!! ❤️
