Welcome back to this week's newsletter! Can you guys believe itโs almost 2023 already..?! In honor of the end of the year this week weโre going to be talking about some steps to get motivated for the new year. ๐
Since most of you probably have some ~language learning goals~ letโs talk about how you can meet them this year ๐
1. My first tip is to follow the 1-3-5 rule โค๏ธ
Some people may not know about this but this has really helped me meet my life goals. Every December 31st, Iโd recommend you take out a journal and write out your goals for the coming year, the next three years, and the next five.
Out of these goals, decide which five goals are things you can tackle this year and focus on those. This way, you have a list of 1 year, 3 year, and 5 year goals and you can keep track of all of them โ
If your goal is to learn Korean, make sure you attach a why to the end of it. Is it to become bilingual? Is it to travel to Korea and be more comfortable there? Is it to study abroad here? Be specific and make sure your goals are more than just numbers and have your intentions attached to them! ๐โค๏ธ
2. My second tip is to keep track of your progress!
In the bustle of our daily lives, itโs really hard to give ourselves credit for all the things weโre doing. While it might seem like youโre not meeting your goals, remember that life is a marathon, not a race! ๐ Those small steps that you're taking everyday are important too! Which is why I always write down even the smallest things. I have accomplished because it helps to look back and remember that I am doing something to meet my goals (even if theyโre not as huge). ๐
A great way to keep track of your Korean progress is our new โmy pageโ feature on our app which will be added to all of your accounts soon enough hehe. (shameless plug i know...hehe) But for real, we want you guys to keep track of all your little successes because weโre so proud of you! โค๏ธ๐
๐คฉ Our Biggest Sale of the Year! โค๏ธ

Lastly, letโs learn some Korean!!!
Do you know how to say happy new year in Korean?? Let me tell you~
โ์ํด ๋ณต ๋ง์ด ๋ฐ์ผ์ธ์" ๐คฉ
(Sae-hae bok man-i bad-eu-se-yo)
Let's Break Down the sentence!
์ํด โ new year
๋ณต โ luck
๋ง์ด โ many/ a lot
๋ฐ์ผ์ธ์ โ receive
This phrase translates directly to โhope you receive luck this new yearโ but it is how we say โhappy new yearโ or โhave a blessed new year!โ
